Kellie Martin is an American film, television and stage performer. Her most well-known roles include Christy Huddleston (Christy) as part of the period show Christy", Rebecca Thatcher (Life Goes On); and Lucy Knight ("ER") in the medical drama ER". Additionally, she's famous for her role as the main character in her own Hailey Dean Mystery television series. Martin began her acting career when she was seven years old. She was a niece of her aunt who was the nanny for Michael Landon's children assisted her in landing one small part on the 1982 TV series Father Murphy. After her graduation from Yale University, she took acting more seriously, and eventually landed significant roles both on the smaller and big screen. Martin was also a photographer and a dancer. Since she is a mother of two children, she has been named the national spokesperson for Lupus. Martin has promoted awareness of the disease since her younger sister passed away in the age of 19.
